Third consecutive win for Palermo at the Barbera pitch. This time the victim was Reggina, defeated by Fabrizio Miccoli's magical touch at the beginning of the second half. During the first half Palermo show great willingness and during the second half they got excited. Compared to the other matches Ballardini presents the same line up except for one change, in fact Bresciano isn't playing because of a muscular problem with Migliaccio taking his place. During the first minutes of the match the two teams study each other and Reggina doesn't light the match up with a series of horizontal passes that harness Palermo's attacks. In the 12th minute the first real action of the game arrives with Balzaretti's interesting cross from the left in the Reggina area, but Cirillo gains a corner anticipating Simplicio. In the 15th minute Palermo almost score tanks to Migliaccio's initiative, he passes the ball towards the centre to Miccoli who sends the ball on the side of Campagnolo's goal. Reggina immediately reply with Brienza's action who, all alone, puts Palermo's area into trouble, before Carrozzieri's intervention that clears everything up. In the 22nd minute the first yellow card arrives against captain Liverani who stopped with a foul Brienza in the midfield. The second yellow card is for Reggina player Santos in the 27th minute for a hand ball. But the match still doesn't take off. The second goal ball for Palermo arrives in the 34th minute with Cavani's great action from the right, he puts the ball into the small area, But Simplicio's shot ends on the bar. Palermo still insist and Campagnolo is still in trouble because of Miccoli's personal action, but the player doesn't hit the goal. Barillà and Sestu enter in Reggina. In the 23rd minute Carmona tries with Reggina thanks to a free kick, but Amelia stops the ball on the ground. Two minutes later on Liverani's free kick Simplicio hits the ball with his chest and passes to Miccoli who doesn't manage to score. Ballardini understands that his players are tired and replaces Miccoli with Lanzafame. Reggina understand that and move up the pitch, but Palermo are tenacious. As them minutes go by, Amelia still faces difficult situations. In Reggina Brienza, exhausted, is replaced with Ceravolo and Ballardini replaces Cavani with Tedesco. Nothing more happens and Palermo freezes this new important win. Congratulations boy.
